Lviv Athletes Triumph at International Taekwon-Do Tournament
The international taekwon-Do tournament ‘SPIRIT OPEN-2025’ took place in Budapest, Hungary on April 12-13. The event gathered 836 participants from 41 clubs representing 9 European countries.
Success of the Ukrainian National Team
The Ukrainian National Taekwon-Do Team at this competition was represented by sports clubs from Uzhgorod and Lviv. Ukrainians claimed three gold and one silver medal.
- Iryna Mukha – 1st place in sparring, -56 kg category among adults;
- Iryna Mukha – 1st place in pattern, 1st Dan among adults;
- Oleh Kolesnykov – 2nd place in sparring, -75 kg category among juniors.
‘Iryna Mukha, having won two gold awards, became the absolute champion of the tournament,’ adds the head of the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration Roman Khimyak.
