Lviv resident Viktor Didukh and Iryna Shynkariova from Mykolaiv region won a bronze medal in table tennis (mixed) at the Paralympic Games.
This was reported by the Lviv City Council’s Sports Department.
“In the semi-finals of the tournament, our Paralympians played against the Chinese duo Zhao Shuai and Mao Jingyan – 2-3. According to the competition rules, there is no match for third place. Thus, the Ukrainians won the bronze medal.
On the way to the medal, Viktor Didukh and Iryna Shynkariova beat rivals from France and Brazil twice – 3:0 each,” the Lviv City Council’s sports department said.

Champion of the Summer Paralympic Games in the team event (2016), silver medalist in the individual and team championships of the 2020 Paralympic Games (2021), European champion in 2015, multiple champion of international tournaments in 2016.
He was awarded the Order “For Courage”, III class (4 October 2016), the Order “For Courage”, II class (16 September 2021), and the “30 Years of Independence of Ukraine” award.
