Humanitarian aid is coming to Ukraine from all over Europe around the clock. A huge amount of cargo goes from western Ukraine to Kiev, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Odessa. However, a large number of checkpoints create obstacles to the delivery of goods and the movement of troops. There have already been cases when such checkpoints prevented the movement of equipment of Ukrainian soldiers and ambulances.
Sokal City Council asked to understand this.
Drivers’ documents may be checked and vehicles inspected only in the presence of police or military personnel.
We have to provide transport corridors for the Ukrainian army and humanitarian cargo.
