Dangerous “memories” of World War II continue to be found and destroyed in the Zolochiv region.
During the past day, the pyrotechnics team of the Mobile Rescue Center for Rapid Response “Lviv” of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine removed and destroyed in an established manner two wartime munitions discovered in the Zolochiv district:
- A 76 mm artillery shell, found in the forest while mushroom picking near the village of Ruda-Koltivska;
- A 100 mm artillery shell, encountered during a forest walk near the village of Vovkovatytsia.
Rescuers urge citizens to be cautious!
If suspicious or explosive objects are found, do not touch, move, or attempt to defuse them yourself. Immediately call the Rescue Service at 101.
Even after decades, such “echoes of war” remain deadly.
