
In Lviv, a pedestrian was injured as a result of a car collision, and the police are investigating the circumstances.
The traffic accident occurred on November 5, around 19:20, on Heroiv UPA Street in Lviv. According to preliminary police findings, the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta, a 69-year-old resident of Lviv, collided with a pedestrian, a 58-year-old resident of Lviv. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Based on the incident, investigators from Lviv District Police Department No.2 have initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 1, Article 286 “Violation of road traffic safety rules” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under this article is incarceration for up to three years, with a revocation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the event.
