On April 25, a ceremonial handover of 13 ambulances for Ukrainian hospitals from the Help Ukraine Gothenburg fund, Gothenburg, Sweden, took place in Lviv.
The collection for these cars was organized by Ukrainian volunteers Kateryna Blahodyr and Nadia Kvashe, who are representatives of the charity initiative in Sweden. Ambulances went to hospitals and will continue to help save lives in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions and in the city of Izmail, Volkswagen-based cars go to zero positions, and the rest will work on the 2nd and 3rd evacuation knees.
“The collection for the car lasted 10 days. During this time, we did everything we could to attract funds: we distributed flyers, worked with social media, involved various companies. Then one man came to us and doubled the collected funds,” says the founder of the charitable initiative, Kateryna Blahodyr.
It was possible to implement the project in 2 months, because, in addition to fundraising, Help Ukraine Gothenburg volunteers had to find the right cars, buy them, check them at the service center and organize logistics.
