Customs officials discovered hidden goods disguised as humanitarian aid worth 6 million UAH.
At the ‘Krakovets – Korczowa’ checkpoint on entry into Ukraine, a truck was stopped, which, according to the documents, was carrying humanitarian aid. The cargo included women’s clothing, children’s toys, and car parts. The recipient of the aid was a charity foundation from the Odesa region, while the sender was a Polish company.
During the inspection, customs officials found that the Polish company was merely an expediter, not the donor of the cargo. The discovered goods, such as fur products and safes, showed signs of being commercial items intended for sale.
Among the cargo, undeclared items were also found: sets of brushes for braces, a medical liposuction device, damaged batteries, and dietary supplements with expired shelf life. A report was filed on the violation of customs regulations.
