Starting May 18, 2026, “Lvivoblenergo” will stop sending address-specific electricity outage notifications through Viber and Telegram chatbots. From now on, the only channel for receiving personalized real-time notifications will be the “KomKom” mobile application.
Why Are the Chatbots Being Discontinued?
The reason is technical, not organizational. Viber and Telegram messengers have built-in limitations on the speed and scale of mass messaging — because of this, outage notifications were often delayed or did not arrive on time at all. In conditions where schedules change every hour, such delays are critical.
The “KomKom” application, developed directly by “Lvivoblenergo,” is free from these limitations and ensures instant delivery of push notifications.
What Can the “KomKom” Application Do?
- Real-time notifications about scheduled outage schedules (GPV) — you will learn about outages immediately as soon as the schedule is updated.
- Address-specific notifications linked to your personal accounts — the application is tied specifically to your address rather than showing general information for the street or district.
- Viewing request and meter reading history — convenient for those who monitor consumption or have submitted service requests.
- Quick addition of personal accounts — if you previously used the “Lvivoblenergo” chatbot, your accounts can be imported into the application in just a few clicks without manually entering data.
What Should You Do Right Now?
- Download the “KomKom” application — it is available in the App Store and Google Play.
- Log in or register using your phone number.
- Add your personal accounts — manually or import them from the chatbot.
- Allow push notifications when the application requests permission.
After that, all notifications that previously arrived via Viber or Telegram will automatically switch to the new channel.
If You Do Not Switch to “KomKom”
General information about outages will remain available on the “Lvivoblenergo” website and social media — but without linkage to a specific address and without instant notifications. This means that finding out exactly when the electricity will be turned off in your building will no longer be possible without the application.
