The British newspaper The Guardian has published a feature on the Lviv Heroes of Kruty Lyceum. The piece focuses on the school’s graduation ceremony and on young people who are consciously choosing a future path of service to Ukraine.
The Lviv Regional Council emphasises the special role this educational institution plays for the region. The Heroes of Kruty Lyceum in Lviv is presented as a place where not only future officers are trained, but also responsible citizens, leaders and patriots of the state.
«For the Lviv Regional Council, the Heroes of Kruty Lyceum is a special institution. It is a place where not only future officers are brought up, but above all responsible citizens, leaders and patriots of Ukraine. I am genuinely pleased that it is precisely such stories that the world is reading today. Because this is the best answer to the question of what Ukraine is fighting for,» stressed Acting Head of the Lviv Regional Council Yurii Kholod.
This year the lyceum has graduated 136 pupils. The article in The Guardian describes their military training, their instruction in working with drones, the development of leadership skills, as well as the personal stories of the lyceum students who are preparing to become Ukraine’s future defenders, both men and women.
The Lviv Heroes of Kruty Lyceum continues to operate under the conditions of full-scale war, combining general education with intensive military and patriotic training for young people.
