On Mount Parashka in the Stryi district mountain rescuers came to the aid of an injured tourist. Today, 4 July, at 11:11 the rescue service received a report from a tourist group that a man had been injured and was unable to move independently.
According to the rescuers, the group had set off on a hike the day before and spent the night in the mountains. During the route, a man born in 1997 injured his leg and required assistance. The tourists sent rescuers the geolocation of where they were.
The rescuers reached the casualty on a quad bike, administered first aid, after which they transported the man to the foot of the mountain. There he was handed over to medics for further hospitalisation.
The rescue service reminds tourists that before heading into the mountains it is worth downloading offline maps in advance, keeping your phone charged and, if possible, sharing your geolocation with relatives or rescuers so that in the event of danger casualties can be located more quickly. In an emergency you should call 101.
