The prosecutors of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against the director of a private enterprise on the facts of illegal appropriation of other people’s property and official forgery (Part 4 of Article 191, Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that between the company headed by the accused and the Lviv National University named after I.Frank, contracts were concluded for the restoration of the main building of the university.
In the future, in order to take possession of budget funds, the person involved issued knowingly false official documents. In them, he indicated significantly inflated volumes of completed works, which were not actually completed.
I submitted the relevant documentation for payment to the customer.
Thus, more than 700,000 hryvnias were paid to the latter from the state budget for no reason.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region, operational support was provided by the SBU Department in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
