During the previous day, servicemen of the Lviv border detachment stopped three attempts to illegally violate the state border outside checkpoints. All the detainees turned out to be men of military age.
Yesterday evening, the border team of the “Sheghini” department provided information about the observation of the stop of a vehicle from which four people got out and started moving towards the state border. In order to verify information from the unit, additional teams have been appointed. During the search, border guards found and detained four residents of the Kharkiv region aged between 31 and 41. One more violator, a few hundred meters from the state border, was detained by the border guards of the same department based on the information of a local resident. He turned out to be a 40-year-old resident of Lviv Oblast.
During the activities to check the border regime, the team of the “Nismychi” department stopped the car for checking. The passenger was followed by a 37-year-old resident of the Poltava region. During the conversation, the man admitted that he intended to enter Poland illegally because he had no legal grounds.
All detainees were taken to border units for inspection and prosecution under Art. 204-1 of the Criminal Procedure Code “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine.”
The further fate of the detainees will be decided by the court.
