On March 5, around 12:30 p.m., the police received a report from medics that children aged 9 to 16 years old were brought to the hospital from a modular town in Lviv. The patients’ preliminary diagnosis was “acute intestinal infection.”
According to the fact, the investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 325 (Violation of sanitary rules and norms regarding the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisoning) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – a fine from one thousand to three thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens, or arrest for a term of up to six months, or restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, or deprivation of liberty for the same term.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
