Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office upheld the sentence of the first-instance court regarding the murder of a law enforcement officer.
Due to the principled position of the prosecutors, the appellate court left unchanged the sentence for two men for premeditated murder with particular cruelty. The murder was committed by prior conspiracy of a group and involved an attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer.
According to the decision of the district court, one of the defendants was sentenced to life imprisonment, while the other received 15 years imprisonment.
In April 2015, in Radekhiv region, a local resident together with a man assisting him with household chores, brutally murdered a district police inspector.
