Overview of the hydrological situation on the rivers of the Lviv region as of 08:00 on March 5, 2026: most of the Dniester basin rivers are experiencing a decrease in water levels from 1 to 10 cm. Only on some mountain tributaries did the water level slightly rise up to 5 cm per day. On the plain rivers of the Sian, Western Bug basins, as well as in the upper reaches of the Styr River, a decrease in water levels from 1–12 cm, in some places up to 16 cm, such as in the village of Tvirzha on the Vyshnia River, was observed. Only some tributaries of the Western Bug showed an increase in water levels up to 11 cm, particularly in the city of Kamianka-Buzka. In areas of the Western Bug River in Kamianka-Buzka, the Poltva River in Busk, the Solokiya River in Sheptytskyi, and the Styr River in Shchurovychi, water continues to be retained in the floodplain with corresponding layers of 47, 12, 11, and 13 cm. The rivers of the region are clear of ice. A consultation on the possible change in the hydrological situation shows that in the next day, a further increase in water levels is expected on some rivers of the Western Bug basin (warning of a dangerous hydrological phenomenon NHF-I No. 4 dated 03/02/2026 remains in effect). In the GP areas of the Western Bug River in Kamianka-Buzka and the Solokiya River in Sheptytskyi, maximum water levels are forecasted, where water may still remain in the floodplain. On other rivers of the region, a decrease in water levels is expected.
