Police officers ready to ensure public order in Lviv region during Easter holidays

Law enforcement officers continue to serve in an enhanced mode, focusing on preventing and deterring criminal offenses and offenses and ensuring public order.

During the Easter holidays in Lviv and the region, public order will be ensured by officers of all services and units of the Lviv Police, the Patrol Police Department, rescuers, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as officers and cadets of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

“We have thoroughly analyzed the operational situation in Lviv region, defined the tasks, made the necessary calculations of personnel and are ready for any situation. I hope that Easter in the Lviv region will be held without violations of law and order and urge all residents to be responsible. The country is under martial law, so do not forget about safety rules. I wish you a peaceful holiday,” said Oleksandr Shlyakhovsky, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv Region, Police General of the third rank.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, law enforcement officers will patrol near churches where Easter cakes will be blessed and Easter services will be held. The number of patrols will be increased to prevent and respond quickly to offenses, additional investigative teams will be created, as well as mobile explosive teams, and dog handlers with service dogs will be involved in patrols.

The police urge residents of Lviv and the region, as well as guests of our city, not to violate public order and to be polite. Do not abuse alcohol and behave responsibly.

We remind you that the curfew is in effect from 00.00 to 05.00 in Lviv region! If you are a victim or witness of a crime or offense, please report it to the 102 hotline, to the territorial police units or contact the police directly on the street. In the same way, report suspicious objects found in public places.
