Throughout one day, February 8, rescuers in the Lviv region extinguished fires in vehicles twice. In the city of Rava-Ruska on Lvivska Street, a fire occurred in the engine compartment of a VAZ-2106 passenger car. According to the report to the Rescue Service “101”, the fire was localized at 13:16 and completely extinguished at 13:18.
That same day, another incident occurred in the village of Ryasne-Ruske in Lviv district. There, the engine compartment of a “Bogdan” bus, which was empty and parked at a stop, caught fire. Despite the absence of passengers, the situation had the potential to escalate into an emergency, however, thanks to the quick intervention, the fire was localized at 14:04 and extinguished at 14:08.
The effectiveness and coordination of the firefighters’ actions helped to avoid the complete destruction of the vehicles.
