The premises are inclusive, so defenders with disabilities will not have any problems staying in the space.
Today, on 10 May, the Circle of Brothers veterans’ space was opened in the Morshyn territorial community. Every veteran and family members of fallen defenders can now receive advice on any veteran issues, psychological and legal assistance. The Morshyn community implemented the idea to create a Veterans’ Space through the cooperation of local authorities, the public sector and business.
“The creation of the Kolo Pobratymiv veterans’ space is not only an important step in preserving the memory and thanking our defenders, but also an extremely important link in maintaining their physical and psychological health. For veterans, this is not just a room with amenities – it is a place where they can find understanding, support, and the opportunity to feel part of the community again. Providing psychological assistance and creating conditions for communication helps them to restore their dignity and feel needed,” said Ivan Sobko, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
There are rooms for psychological assistance, group and individual lessons, a large hall with a screen and TVs, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The premises are inclusive, which means that defenders with disabilities will have no problems staying in the space.
“Our goal is to make people who have gone through the war and are still fighting feel that society needs them,” said Halyna Plachinda, one of the co-organisers, a journalist and public figure.
The event was also attended by Ruslan Ilnytskyi, Mayor of Morshyn, Farhad Farhadov, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs, Tetiana Tsyba, MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Veterans’ Rights, Taras Gren, Chief of Staff of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Vsevolod Bilas, MP of the Lviv Regional Council, Bohdan Yanko, Head of the Stryi District Military Administration, Mykhailo Luchechko, Head of the Stryi District Council, representatives of veteran communities, families of defenders, philanthropists, the public and clergy.
