An ecological and educational center was opened in the “Vereshchytsia” recreation area of the Yavorivskyi National Nature Park

The initiative was implemented within the framework of the project “Rovelové Roztochcia – together across borders” in cooperation with Polish partners.

Today, March 3, the opening of the environmental education center took place in the “Vereshchytsia” recreation area of the Yavoriv National Nature Park. Ruslan Strelets, Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, visited the newly created place together with the deputy head of the Lviv OVA Yury Buchka.

“The center meets all modern requirements – it is equipped with energy saving technologies using solar batteries and a solid fuel boiler. It will become not only a convenient base for official meetings, forums, excursions and professional conferences. More than 2 million euros were allocated for the construction of the site. An important factor is also the fact that the project was implemented on the territory of the Ukrainian part of the international Ukrainian-Polish biosphere reserve “Roztochchya”, which is part of the worldwide network of biosphere reserves,” Yuriy Buchko noted.

The initiative was implemented within the framework of the “Rovelové Roztochchya – together across borders” project. The partners were Lubel Voivodeship, Zamość Commune, Rostochansky National Park, Yavoriv National Nature Park and the Association of Local Self-Governments Euroregion “Carpathians Ukraine”.
