On February 13 at 20:59, the ‘101’ Rescue Service received a report about a fire in the village of Turyinka, Lviv district. The fire occurred in a cinder block agricultural building, covered with a metal profile on a wooden lath, measuring 20×7 m.
Professional firefighters from the cities of Zhovkva and Velyki Mosty, as well as employees from local fire teams of the villages Turyinka and Lyubel, were dispatched to the scene.
By the time the rescuers arrived, the roof of the building was already burning over an area of 140 sq. m, with the risk of the fire spreading to adjacent buildings.
The fire was localized at 22:06 and extinguished at 22:53.
The rescuers managed to prevent the fire from spreading and saved two nearby agricultural buildings from the blaze.
A total of 7 rescuers and 2 pieces of special equipment from the State Emergency Service, as well as 4 workers and 2 pieces of special equipment from local fire teams, were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The circumstances of the incident and the cause of the fire are being investigated.
