Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Malta, the aid service has handed over 1,000 tons of humanitarian cargo to Lviv Oblast

This aid was directed to 65 cities of Ukraine.

The Maltese aid service has been helping the people of Ukraine for 32 years and began to do so with renewed vigor when the Russian occupation forces launched a full-scale war.

“Thank you to everyone involved in the work of the Malta Aid Service. The results of your service are felt by hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. I wish you strength, inspiration and comprehensive support to continue this mission. Know that you can always count on the support of the Lviv OVA in all your good endeavors,” said the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

Yes, from February 24, 2022, representatives of the service:

260,000 portions of hot food were distributed to IDPs at border crossing points and train stations in Lviv Oblast.
More than 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to 65 cities of Ukraine.
They provide psychological and psychosocial assistance at 48 locations for over 20,000 internally displaced persons and local residents.
18,500 beds were provided in two shelters in Lviv.
More than 2,000 people were trained in first aid.
They handed over 9 ambulances for the needs of doctors.
They helped install 42 prostheses for people who suffered because of the war.
45,000 portions of hot food were distributed to lonely elderly people in Lviv.
Housing in Sambor for long-term residence of 130 internally displaced persons is being completed.
They help rebuild houses in Kharkiv Oblast and Zaporizhzhia after shelling.
As part of the “Winter Program”, 480 generators and everything necessary to survive the cold will be delivered to those regions of Ukraine that suffer the most due to the war.

“Behind these figures are thousands of Ukrainians who received a hot meal and a roof over their heads, when in one moment they lost everything they may have earned for decades. Behind these numbers are the residents of dozens of settlements that were threatened by a humanitarian crisis and managed to avoid it. Behind these numbers are thousands of people who have learned to master themselves when it seems that there is no way out. 2 thousand people who will not be confused and will provide the necessary assistance until the arrival of the medics. And emergency vehicles save the lives of our soldiers and compatriots in the front-line zone,” the head of the region emphasized.
