Drivers are being reminded to pay close attention to traffic signs on the section of Vynnychenka Street between Valova Street and the intersection with Ruska Street. According to the Lviv Regional Patrol Police, the reopening of this section for traffic includes a return to its previous traffic regulations.
Specifically, sign 3.21 “No Entry” prohibits vehicle access on this segment, allowing only public transport with approved routes to pass.
“This area operates under the old traffic scheme. The ‘No Entry’ sign has been there for some time, but drivers are still violating traffic rules out of habit,” stated Kateryna Rybiy, spokesperson for the Patrol Police.
Drivers who violate the sign face a fine of 340 UAH.
To recap, Vynnychenka Street in Lviv was reopened to traffic on January 7, 2025, after being closed for almost three years. Prior to this, entry was restricted to military personnel, medical workers, and employees of the Regional Council and Lviv Regional State Administration with special permits.
