For the second year in a row, everyone can take part in the city’s seasonal tree planting and plant their own plant together with Lviv gardeners
“You are probably interested in the result, so that your tree grows up healthy and lives long. In order for this to happen, we offer an option with minimal risks. For this, it is important to choose the right place, the right sapling, plant it correctly and take care of the young tree for at least the first few years.
Yes, together with the gardener of Lviv, you can choose the place of planting, the species, and, accordingly, you pay for the seedling. Next, the city plants a sapling with your participation during the next tree planting period – this usually happens in October-November or already in the spring.
It is important to note that we suggest planting only high-quality, formed seedlings from nurseries in places with the most favorable conditions, which minimizes the risks of non-rooting or damage to the tree after planting. The cost of such a sapling is mostly from UAH 2.2 to 4.5 thousand,” says the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the LMR.
Below we provide step-by-step instructions on how to become a participant of the landing.
1. Fill out the electronic form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfuZdsFk7uenPrcqP8y2pNLN9xys7zAzbuhedhhrv_s9bJPjg/viewform. In the application, you can specify the desired location and/or type of tree, or you can not specify it.
2. After processing the application, the gardener of the district or park will contact you to agree on the details (choice of place, seedling, planting day, etc.).
3. You pay the bill for the seedling, which is issued to you by the nursery of your choice.
4. You will receive an invitation to plant a tree with an indication of the time.
5. Planting will be carried out by landscaping specialists of the relevant district or park, under the supervision of a gardener and with your participation. Everything necessary for landing will be in place.
6. The gardener and city services will supervise the growth of the tree. But you can periodically visit and water the tree, so it will develop faster and better.
