Lviv will receive 8 large buses free of charge from the Italian region of Abruzzo. These vehicles will be provided by the regional public transport company TUA (Trasporto Unico Abruzzese). The Institute of the City will become the custodian, and the municipal ATP-1 will ensure delivery. The relevant decision was approved by the city council’s executive committee on 10 March.
The buses, which are parked in an open area under the grey sky, bear the TUA logo. It is planned that they will arrive in Lviv by the end of the week, as ATP-1 drivers have already set off for Italy to collect them. According to Oleg Zabarilo, director of the city’s mobility and street infrastructure department, these are 12-metre Temsa buses of Turkish manufacture, Euro 5 standard, which were used for intercity transport in Pescara.
The transport is in good condition and meets the technical requirements for further operation.
During the working trip, we ensured that the buses are in proper technical condition. A decision will be made in the future on how exactly these buses will be used in our city — the official noted.
Let us recall, Lviv is also receiving electric transport from Europe. The city has already accepted 21 three-section and 8 two-section Schindler Be carriages from the canton of Basel-Landschaft, as well as 11 Vevey carriages from Bern and 12 KT4D carriages from Berlin.
