Taking care of the city’s greenery – with the approach of spring, community educational institutions, heads of condominiums, individual organisations and institutions have the opportunity to green their territories and plant new tree seedlings. Every year, the Municipal Utility Company’s Greenery Department initiates greening activities in the city and the community and assists in planting young trees in different neighbourhoods of Drohobych.
According to Nataliia Pylypiv, Head of the Greenery Department, the utility company always welcomes initiatives from residents and organisations that want to contribute to the greening of Drohobych and are ready to provide new tree seedlings for planting free of charge.
Currently, we are talking about available seedlings of such species as oak, alder, ash, maple, sycamore, common spruce, linden, and vinegar sumac.
Anyone who wants to get tree seedlings and plant greenery on their territory can contact us at the Greenery Department. We give out seedlings absolutely free of charge, but we ask you to report on the work done later. You can also order the service of planting a personalised tree. You can give it as a gift to a child or dedicate it to any dear person and at the same time do a good deed for the city – replenish its streets or squares with beautiful greenery,” commented Natalia Pylypiv.
