Eliot worked for five years in one of the clinics in the eastern United States. Once, after seeing in the news how Russia kills and maims Ukrainians every day, he decided to go overseas and become a volunteer. Eliot arrived in Lviv two months ago.
The American learned that it was here, to the hospital of St. Panteleimon of the First Medical Association of Lviv, that wounded military and civilians were brought. Since then, Eliot has been working as a nurse in Department No. 1 of the Center for Surgery and Oncology, and every day he sees with his own eyes the difficult path of patients who suffered from Russian aggression, he sees the consequences of massive rocket attacks and artillery shelling.
“When our patients recover, I feel real satisfaction from the work I do in this hospital. Their wounds are healing before my eyes. That’s why I’m glad when patients who have been helped here take their first steps,” says Eliot.
With his energy, perseverance and care for patients, the American nurse impresses everyone around him.
