Since March, the city polyclinics of Lviv operate on a new schedule. Within 24 hours of contact, residents can receive assistance from a family or on-call doctor, as reported by city-adm.lviv.ua. The polyclinics will have extended hours, including weekends, and a medical hotline has also been introduced.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stated that integrating all polyclinics into medical associations allowed for more efficient resource distribution for the fast provision of free assistance. The program includes increased working hours and higher pay, especially for registry staff.
“Consultation within 24 hours means quick access to medical services,” explained the CEO of the Second Medical Association Vasyl Trunkvalter.
Furthermore, a separate medical line has been introduced as part of the “City Hotline,” which will operate on an extended schedule.
- Weekdays: from 08:00 to 20:00.
- Saturday: from 09:00 to 15:00.
- Sunday: from 09:00 to 14:00.
Director of the Humanitarian Policy Department, Valentyna Bartoshyk, noted that specialists on the line would be able to provide consultations and help receive free services more quickly.
Family doctor Vasyl Ivanyura added that the new schedule will allow for more medical assistance under convenient conditions, appreciated by both patients and medical staff.
