
In January, the Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine transported 59 patients abroad for treatment.
During January, 59 patients and 26 accompanying persons were transported out of Ukraine. After completing treatment, 34 patients and 6 accompanying individuals have already returned home.
As part of the international MEDEVAC project, the Center’s medical teams conducted 59 international trips. Evacuation flights weekly head to the medical hub in Rzeszów, Poland, from where patients are transported by air to clinics in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and other European countries.
The Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance is the only one in Ukraine that, with co-financing from the European Commission, in cooperation with WHO (WHO Regional Office for Europe) and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, carries out organized medical evacuation of citizens abroad.
