Between January 6 and 12, flu and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) cases in the Lviv region rose by 16.9% compared to the previous week. A total of 8,644 cases were registered, 1,251 more than the prior week. The epidemic threshold (434.07) was not exceeded.
According to the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, the cases included:
- Adults: 46.3% (4,004 cases);
- Children: 53.7% (4,640 cases).
Age Group Distribution:
- Preschool children (0–4 years): 1,302 cases (15.1%);
- School-aged children (5–14 years): 2,087 cases (24.1%);
- Teenagers (15–17 years): 615 cases (7.1%);
- Young adults (18–29 years): 1,251 cases (14.5%);
- Adults (30–64 years): 2,713 cases (31.4%);
- Seniors (65 years and older): 676 cases (7.8%).
