Today, another 24 Ukrainians who were injured as a result of Russia’s armed aggression went for further treatment, prosthetics and rehabilitation. Most of them – after a mine-explosive injury. The youngest patient is 14 years old, the oldest is 61 years old.
“The first resuscitation bus in Ukraine was currently evacuating patients from Lviv medical facilities abroad. This is a special transport that allows you to transport seriously ill patients over long distances, supporting resuscitation measures for two days when transporting up to 2,000 km,” the First Medical Association of Lviv reported.
Ukraine received the first bus from Norway as humanitarian aid thanks to cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for Europe. Four more are on the way.
“And we continue to work every day on the creation of the National Rehabilitation Center of Ukraine “UNBROKEN” in order to treat, rehabilitate and provide prosthetics for Ukrainians in Ukraine.
The National Rehabilitation Center “UNBROKEN” will be the first center in Ukraine where 50,000 Ukrainians will be able to receive physical, psychological and social rehabilitation every year. The patient will not only receive a prosthesis here, but will also successfully return to a full life.
The first financial donors have already joined the project: ATB, Symfony Solutions, Space Art, PZU Ukraine Group and the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine. On the day of the project’s presentation, patrons collected more than 2 million euros. In July, a town for pregnant displaced women “Unbreakable Mothers” was opened as part of the ecosystem. Mothers with children who fled the war to Lviv already live here.
