Lviv will construct the first house in Ukraine for cancer patients who come for treatment.
Here, people undergoing chemotherapy or other types of therapy will be able to live for free. The house will be built with the support of partners using a modular Japanese technology—quickly, efficiently, and with respect for the patients’ needs. To achieve this, we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with DAIWA House Group. This is a solution that will have a real and quick result.
Had an important meeting with the Mayor of Hiroshima, Kazumi Matsui. We discussed the resilience of cities during war and reconstruction. We talked about cooperation between our cities and support for Ukraine. Hiroshima is ready to share its experience and is already preparing a separate meeting dedicated to Ukrainian communities.
We agreed on a partnership between Hiroshima Nagisa School and Lviv’s Budokan. We will start with joint online meetings, followed by exchanges and internships. A Japan Desk, a separate office for cooperation with Japan, has been operating in Lviv for several months now. During this time, nearly a hundred Japanese entrepreneurs have visited us. They are getting acquainted with the city, considering investments, and already planning joint projects.
The trip to Japan brought tangible results for Lviv. We continue to work.
