Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Nazarii Pikulytskyi

On Tuesday, April 18, Lviv will say goodbye to Nazarii Pikulytskyi, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders.

The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 12:00 in the Garrison Church of St. App. Peter and Paul, at 12:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Nazarii Pikulytskyi (May 4, 1989-April 12, 2023) from Lviv.
Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 1 of the city of Lviv. He graduated from the Lviv Technical College of Railway Transport (today the Lviv College of Transport Infrastructure) majoring in “Transportation Organization and Management in Railway Transport”.

After completing his studies, he worked for a short period at the “Klepariv” railway station.

In 2014-2015, he defended Ukraine as part of the 17th separate tank brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For personal courage, he was awarded the “Defender of the Fatherland” medal and the “Participant of ATO” badge.

After returning to civilian life, he worked in the transport sector.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland. He was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces “Golden Cross”.

Nazarii Pikulytsky is survived by his wife, two daughters, parents and sister.
