Some data were stolen due to racist hacker attacks on Lviv

During the Russian cyber attack on the city hall, some of the city’s working files were stolen and published on enemy telegram channels. The city is working with the SBU and Cyberpolice to overcome the consequences. This was announced by First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andriy Moskalenko.

“It became known about the first consequences of the cyber attack on May 13 on Lviv. Russia uses the IT front in addition to missiles. In addition to destroying the city’s management system, the enemy aimed to obtain data. Some of the city’s working files, despite all security systems, were stolen and published on enemy telegram channels. We are working together with the SBU and the Cyberpolice to overcome the consequences. At this time, as, in the end, always, we must be very careful – both offline and online, “- said Andrew Moskalenko.

On Friday, May 13, one of the largest hacker attacks was carried out on the Internet and services of the Lviv City Council. Within 2 days we managed to restore some of the services, the city hall’s website is working.

Since February 24 alone, IT specialists have repulsed more than 100 attempts at hacking attacks on the Lviv City Council.
