What to Do If a Power Line Is Down
Residents of the Lviv region are being urged to follow essential safety rules near damaged electricity lines:
- do not approach a fallen power line closer than eight metres, as it may be fatal;
- leave the dangerous area using the so-called “goose step” by keeping your feet together and moving with small sliding steps without lifting them from the ground or separating them;
- secure the area around the fallen wire and prevent other people from approaching it until a Lvivoblenergo emergency response team arrives.
