We are proud of our courageous defender from Opilsk – Junior Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Gladkyi has recently received the Golden Cross award from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Cross of Valour award from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
This was reported by the head of the village Svitlana Kolyada.
Oleg was awarded these awards for personal courage and selflessness shown in the defence of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state and successful completion of tasks during the battle.
This courageous young man stood up to defend Ukraine at the age of 20, and has been at war since 2016. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he was one of the first to join the Armed Forces and has been defending our country ever since.
This is not the first award Oleg has received – he has already received many. Among them are the “Badge of Honour” from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the “Cossack Victory” medals, “For Patriotism to Ukraine” from the command of the military unit, “For Exemplary Military Service” from the Commander-in-Chief, “For Mine Action” awards, and certificates!
