The title of Hero of Ukraine with the Gold Star Order has been posthumously awarded to Serhii Yarish, a defender from the Lviv district.
🕯️ Serhii Yarish was born in the village of Zabirya, part of the Rava-Ruska community. He served in the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi of the Ukrainian Navy.
Thanks to his bravery and military skill, enemy forces were halted, and a significant number of occupiers and their equipment were destroyed.
Serhii Yarish lost his life in August 2023 during battles near the village of Urozhayne in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region.
