Today, Lviv says goodbye to Heroes Roman Boyk and Maksym Shamarov

Today, August 1, Lviv says goodbye to Heroes Roman Baishchak and Maksym Shamarov, who defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The funeral will be held in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, military servicemen will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

The City Hall urges you to join the farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertaining events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral rites of Roman Baishchak and Maksym Shamarov will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Cathedral, and at 11:30 a.m. a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. After that, the funeral procession will go to the Lychakiv cemetery. Blue and yellow flags with a mourning ribbon will be hung on the buildings along the route of the convoy.

Roman Baishchak (April 4, 1997-July 26, 2022). A native of Lviv

Roman Baishchak (April 4, 1997-July 26, 2022). A native of Lviv. Studied at secondary comprehensive school No. 54 in Lviv. In 2011, he entered the Lviv Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after Heroes of Krut. A graduate of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Pyotr Sagaidachny.
After completing his studies, he joined the ranks of the 128th separate Transcarpathian mountain assault brigade of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Captain. As part of the brigade, he performed tasks three times in the combat zone in the east of Ukraine. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland from the Russian invaders from the first days.

In 2022, he was awarded the badge of the Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “For service and valor” III degree.

Roman Baishchak is survived by his parents, wife and two children.

 

Maxim Shamarov (18.06.1997-28.07.2022). A native of Lviv.

Maxim Shamarov (18.06.1997-28.07.2022). A native of Lviv. Graduated from secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 50 of the city of Lviv. In 2011, he entered the Lviv Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after Heroes of Krut. He received his education at the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub.

After completing his studies in 2018, he joined the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Captain. As part of the brigade, he performed combat missions three times in the area of ​​the Joint Forces operation. In 2022, by decree of the President of Ukraine, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.

Maksym Shamarov is survived by his mother, father, brothers and sister.
