Today Lviv region said goodbye to seven defenders
Vasyl Lys
A resident of the village of Liubeshka in the Bibrka community. In 2022, the defender signed a contract. He served in the military unit A3066 of the National Guard of Ukraine. He died on 6 October in the Kharkiv region. He was 23 years old.
Yurii Volynets
A resident of the village of Stroniatyn, Kulykivka community. He served in the military unit A4765. The soldier died on 5 October performing a combat mission near the village of Mykolaivka, Donetsk region. He was 41 years old.
Marjan Khimich
A native of the village of Zabuzhzhya, Sokal community. He came to the defence of his homeland in the summer of 2023. Shooter of the 1st rifle division, 2nd rifle platoon, 2nd rifle company of the military unit A7401. He died on 4 October near the village of Starytsia, Kharkiv region, as a result of a mortar attack. The soldier was 47 years old.
Ihor Ilnytskyi
A resident of the city of Sokal. He served as a gunner of the mortar section of the mortar platoon of the 1st airmobile battalion in the military unit A2120. He died on 7 October near the village of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. He was 41 years old.
Mykhailo Yezerskyi
A resident of Lviv. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he joined the 67th separate mechanised brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the state. He died on 6 October. The soldier was 46 years old.
Vasyl Osoba
Born in Dobromyl, Lviv region. In 2013-2014, he participated in the Revolution of Dignity. In January 2022, he began military training. He defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of his homeland in the ranks of the 4th Operational Brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhiy Mykhalchuk of the National Guard of Ukraine. He died on 6 October in a battle with the occupiers. The soldier was 35 years old.
Andrii Desyatnyk
A resident of the town of Sheptytskyi. Since 2022, he served in the military unit A2144. He died on 5 October near the village of Vidrodzhenivske, Kharkiv region, during a combat mission. He was 45 years old.
