The 23-year-old defender of Ukraine Andrii Slavych died: tomorrow the Drohobytsk community will meet the fallen Hero

In the war with the Russian invaders, the Drohobytsk community lost another soldier – during the defense of Ukraine from the enemy, Andrii Slavych, a resident of Verkhnyi Hayiv, died. The deceased was only 23 years old. He bravely defended his native country from the beginning of a full-scale enemy invasion.

Andriy was born on March 18, 2000 in the village of Boberka, Turkiv district. He lived in the village of Verkhni Gayi, Drohobytsky district. He graduated from a local school. Studied at the Drohobytsk College of Oil and Gas. Later he worked abroad.

As soon as the full-scale invasion began, Andrii stood up for Ukraine in the first days. He served as part of the 103rd brigade of the 67th separate battalion of the TRO. Subsequently, he was transferred to the 12th special purpose brigade “Azov” of the National Guard

The soldier died on December 10 as a result of enemy mortar shelling in the Luhansk direction of the front.

The deceased Hero is survived by his parents, wife, two children and two sisters.

The Drohobytsk City Council, its executive committee, Mayor Taras Kuchma and Council Secretary Orest Karakevich express their sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and friends regarding the untimely death of our countryman and Hero – Andriy Slavich.

The arrival of the funeral convoy with the defender’s body will take place tomorrow, December 14.

Meeting at the Crossroads of Heroes – at 12:00. At 12:30 a city-wide farewell will be held on Rynok Square.

The Hero’s funeral will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

The soldier will be buried on the Alley of Glory.
