Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to defender Andriy Krulikevych

On Friday, February 16, Lviv will say goodbye to soldier Andriy Krulikevych, who was killed by Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. Lviv City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, and at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.

The defender’s biographical information

Andriy Krulikevych (06.11.1981-03.02.2024) was born in the village of Baranivtsi, Lviv region.

He studied at the Baranivtsi institution of general secondary education of the I-III levels of the Lviv region. After graduation, he served in the military in Sambir as part of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops.

After returning, he got married and worked in the construction industry in Lviv. In his free time, he was fond of football. According to his family, Andriy Krulikevych had many friends, was extremely kind, hardworking and loved to help others.

He was a senior soldier. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to defend his homeland from the Russian invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 95th separate Polissya Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought against the invaders on the southern and eastern directions.

Andrii Krulikevych is survived by his parents, wife, two daughters and two sisters.
