Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Pavlo Dumanskyi

Tomorrow, November 26, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Pavlo Dumansky, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

At 11:00 a.m., the Hero’s Funeral Service will begin in the Garrison Church of St. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a.m. – city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Route of the funeral procession: Garrison Church of St. App. Peter and Paul UGCC (Tetralna Street, 11) – sq. Cathedral – square Rynok (city farewell ceremony) – str. Ruska – st. Basement – str. Volodymyr Vinnichenko – square Soborna – str. Pekarska – st. Shimzeriv – st. Mechnikova – Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero

 

Pavlo Dumansky (July 13, 2003-November 20, 2022). A native of Lviv.

 

Studied at Lyceum No. 80 of the Lviv City Council. A graduate of the Separate Structural Unit “Automotive and Road Professional College” of the Lviv Polytechnic National University.

He worked in the field of service. He was a member of the “Kanku” kyokushinkai karate sports club and a multiple prize-winner of competitions.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he took an active part in the construction of defensive structures and checkpoints in the city of Lviv. In March, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a volunteer. He fought against the Russian invaders as part of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Pavlo Dumanskyi died while covering his brothers. The Hero is survived by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
