Competition for receiving a sub-grant for the implementation of “Support for MSMEs in the grain sector in access to grain storage and drying services”
The USAID Program for Agrarian and Rural Development (AGRO) invites Ukrainian non-governmental organizations, business associations, agricultural cooperatives and economic entities to apply for sub-grants for the implementation of the program “Supporting MSMEs in the grain sector in access to grain storage and drying services “.
The AGRO program considers the possibility of providing up to fifteen sub-grants in the amount of UAH 300 million, the amount of each sub-grant will depend on the sub-grant activity and the results of the negotiations. The main goal of the sub-grant program is to support the strategic directions of agricultural production of grain and technical crops by providing MSMEs with additional capacities and services for finishing, drying and storing grain to extend the period of sale of grown products and preserve the sustainability of agricultural business.
Funds of the sub-grant can be directed to:
• Purchase of means of production, including agricultural equipment for finishing, drying and storing grain;
• Purchase of consumables to ensure grain storage;
• Procurement of materials for the construction of temporary granaries, including modular ones;
• Compensation for the cost of expert, laboratory and educational and informational support;
• Compensation of organizational and administrative costs of the subrecipient for the implementation of this project.
“In the conditions of war, the issue of storage of agricultural products and their export remains critical, therefore, today exactly such programs of support for agricultural producers are extremely important,” – emphasized the director of the department of agro-industrial development of the Lviv regional military administration Tetyana Hetman.
