Loss of an Outstanding Figure in Sokal Region Football
With sorrow, we announce the passing of Yaroslav Volodymyrovych PIDKIPNYAK, a sports public figure, long-time head of the Sokal District Football Federation, coach, great enthusiast, and researcher of football.
Contribution to Football Development
He was a well-known football player in the Lviv region, who once played for a number of teams in Sokal region and participated in district and regional championships. He had a phenomenal memory for everything related to football: match results, championships, team compositions.
He worked hard to compile and publish books such as ‘Football of the Pribuzhskyi Land’ and ‘The City by the Bug River’, which he presented in Sokal. Today, his books are read not only in Ukraine but also beyond.
