Rescuers Save Dog that Fell Through Ice in a Lake
On March 8th at 21:22, rescuers received a report that a dog was drowning in a lake in Nagoryany village, Lviv district.
Rescue Operation
Emergency responders from Pustomyty city arrived at the scene. It was determined that during a walk on the local lake, a dog had fallen through the ice and was unable to climb out on its own. Concerned eyewitnesses reported the incident.
The four-legged animal was located about 40 meters from the shore, so rescuers in a boat, breaking through the ice in front of them, reached the animal, threw a life ring to it, and brought it to shore. There, the furry friend was handed over to eyewitnesses, who warmed the animal and took it for a veterinary check-up.
