
Grass Fires in Lviv Region: Danger and Responsibility
127, 136, and 169 – these are the numbers of grass fires in just the last three days in the Lviv region. This statistic was released by the regional rescuers.
A Call for Caution
We strongly urge you not to burn dry grass or put yourself, your loved ones, and the environment in danger. Remember, everything living in the grass burns too!
Remember: if you see a fire starting, immediately inform the fire department and the police, regardless of who is responsible.
Fines for Arson
In addition, we remind you that setting dry grass on fire is punishable by law with a fine:
- for citizens – from 3,060 UAH to 6,120 UAH;
- for officials – from 15,300 UAH to 21,420 UAH.
