From the first days of the war, the specialists of the local Chervonohrad Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid reformatted their work, taking into account the realities of the time. Three employees are on duty at the legal aid hotline.
Others provide outlets for free legal aid in compact settlements of internally displaced persons. During this period, specialists provided more than 500 services. The most relevant for this category of citizens are the issues of gaining status, recovery of lost documents, payment of pensions, preservation of jobs, compensation for free housing, social benefits for internally displaced persons, border crossing.
Therefore, appeals are already registered for the provision of secondary legal aid (lawyer’s services) – to establish the fact of birth in the temporarily occupied territory, deprivation of parental rights of a man – a citizen of Russia, recovery of alimony and more. A new direction for the Center was the work related to documenting the facts of Russia’s military aggression, which is carried out with the direct consent of eyewitnesses. Currently 4 cases are being processed.
