During Bishop Yaroslav’s sermon, he congratulated the parishioners on the holiday, recalling the glorious history of the Saint Nicholas Church, explained the Sunday Gospel reading and told about Saint Nicholas.
At the end of the Liturgy, Bishop Yaroslav thanked Fr. Mykhailo for his work on the development of the Deanery and the Church of St. Nicholas. He recalled that at the beginning of the 90s, there were only two churches in the area where Greek Catholics prayed, in Staria Sola and Tarnava. Now three deaneries have been formed, where young priests serve. Three years ago, a restored iconostasis was consecrated in the Church of St. Nicholas, since then the church is constantly being updated, and ancient things are being restored.
