On September 24-25, the All-Ukrainian ice festival Ice Fest King Cross Leopolis will be held in Lviv. Figure skaters from all over the country will come to our city to start the sports season and demonstrate their skills.
Young skaters from Kyiv, Sumy, Chernivtsi, Kherson, Pavlograd, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Mariupol and Lviv will take part in the festival.
“Despite the difficult training conditions during the war, our heroic coaches and children in different cities of Ukraine continue their work. These performances will feature the programs that the children have learned over the past six months.
For several years in a row, students of our school have successfully participated in All-Ukrainian figure skating competitions. Our children were warmly welcomed at the ice arenas of Kherson, Odessa, Kyiv, Bila Tserkva and Bohuslav. This year we decided to organize an ice festival in Lviv. After all, despite everything, we have to motivate and support athletes and their dreams,” says Kateryna Balinska, the organizer of the ice festival and the founder of the Bauer School figure skating school.
Figure skaters will perform in the Beginners, Intermediate, Pre-Bronze, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Artistic categories. Athletes will be evaluated by a panel of judges, which includes judges from Dnipro, Odesa and Kharkiv.
