The farm “Yanchyn – Agro” uses the regional comprehensive support program for the second year in a row.
During a full-scale war, the agrarian business of the country, including Lviv Oblast, continues to hold the food front. In order to move forward, many farmers are not afraid to take risks.
In 2019, Stepan Stefanyshyn also took a risk, creating the farm “Yanchyn – Agro”.
“I gained my experience in running an agrarian business first at the Klas-U farm, and then at the PE “Agrofirma “Dzvony”, starting with a simple employee and ending with the position of elevator manager. He communicated a lot with the managers of these farms, discussing all problematic issues. And over time, he decided to start his own business,” Stepan Stefanyshyn said.
Today, the farm cultivates 110 hectares of agricultural land, on which it grows wheat, corn and soybeans. Moreover, the farm uses modern technologies to increase productivity, and this year the wheat yield was 78 t/ha and regularly updates the park of agricultural machinery.
“I have been using financial support within the framework of the Comprehensive Program for the second year. Agricultural equipment is needed to ensure the complex of works, and due to the lack of free funds it is impossible to purchase it, so I decided to take all the equipment on a financial lease. And it’s profitable, because today the cost of this equipment has almost doubled,” Stepan added.
Three tractors, a sprayer and a seeder were purchased under financial leasing contracts. The interest (commission) under these contracts is reimbursed by the regional Comprehensive Program. The young farmer plans to buy a dryer and a telescopic loader.
We remind you that in order to promote the development of micro- and small agrarian business entities within the framework of the Comprehensive Program for the Support and Development of Agriculture in the Lviv Region for 2021-2025, financial support was provided in the current year through the compensation of interest on loans, and interest ( commission) for the maintenance of financial leasing contracts. 29 economic entities received the right to reimbursement of interest in the amount of UAH 3.6 million, which made it possible to reduce the price of UAH 93.2 million of borrowed credit resources.
The Department is developing a project of the Comprehensive Program for 2023, which provides for continued support through interest compensation (commission) for the maintenance of financial leasing contracts.
