The European Youth Archery Cup was held on April 15-21 in the Bulgarian capital. The competition was attended by 272 athletes from 27 countries.
“Twenty Ukrainians competed for awards, four of whom were representatives of Lviv region: Sergiy Senyura, Svyatoslav Karpenko, Kostyantyn Vaksman and Pavlo Soroka,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
As a result, the Ukrainian national team won 6 medals: one gold, three silver and two bronze. Two medals were won by athletes from Lviv region:
🥈Sergiy Senyura won a silver medal in the individual competition among cadets. The athlete is a pupil of the Children and Youth Sports School №1, coaches: Nazar Kuzyk, Maria Havelko.
🥉Karpenko Svyatoslav became a bronze medalist in block archery among juniors in the team discipline. The archer represents the D. Sydoruk Children and Youth Sports School, his coach is Kateryna Palekha.
